Atlanta, Texas
Since I know we don't all go through east Texas that much, the pictures on a website I just completed may bring back some old memories of pine trees and such. http://www.netexasmovies.com.
This pic is the old Post Office, now the library. There are even Paper Mill pictures in case you've forgotten the smell.

New Family Members
We've added a couple of new family members. Dylan has been waiting on some type of amphibian for a long time and finally adopted a bearded dragon named, "Dune."
Kim came home yesterday with a surprise. She found a dog to adopt. We picked up "Cocoa" this morning, brought her home, gave a bath, and let her poop in the yard.

Christmas 2008
We had a great time at Christmas once again here in Meridian. Shawn's family and part of Stephen's (Nell's husband) family gathered at our house for food and fun. We had 26 in all this year. Mama made her Texas chocolate sheet cake and got several requests from Shawn's family to make that for their birthdays. Thanks to Shawn's sister Nell we have grown from a family with five members of the poultry family to a total of eleven. We also found out how well two roosters get along...NOT. We now have two chicken houses and have produced one egg. Our new rooster is large, follows you around and looks and sounds like his name, "Foghorn!"

December
December has always been an exciting month in Daddy Wood's house with mama getting ready for Christmas and trying her hardest to not forget or overlook any one in the family, this year being no different, just alittle harder due to age related reasons. All daddy has to worry about is what to do for Mamas birthday on the 16'th, Our 56th anniversary on the 20'th and the birthday of Jesus on the 25'th. I guess this december will pass with as much joy as ever MERRY Christmas to all.

First Snow
Usually the first snow is not this deep. Kelly, having lived here since birth, laughs at me when I go outside and watch it snow every time. Every time could mean most days of the week this time of year. Actually 15+ inches in 2 days, not a record for this time of year.

Happy Birthday Christian
Well I haven't put any news in lately, so here we go. Christian turned 2 on October 19 and here is a picture of him and his cake that his Aunt Mary made. We had a party at Spring Lake Park and his favorite gift was a set of drums. Everyone is doing fine except for Amanda (she is having morning sickness). Becky quit her job to take care of her Dad and I work straight days for now. Chris and Zach are staying at the house, Mary lives in Dallas, and Brandon,Amanda and Christian live in Texarkana. Hope everbody is doing fine and if you come this way, stop in to see us.
